Born and raised in the city, our redesign for Auchentoshan breaks traditional malt stereotypes and celebrates the brand’s Glasgow roots. The more approachable and accessible look and feel speaks to a new, open-minded and global generation of whisky lovers.
This e-commerce limited edition single malt whisky was crafted to be enjoyed straight from the fridge – and so the packaging needed to be both disruptive, eye-catching and deliver the unique product profile. Tones of cool blue are layered with icy illustrations, brought to life through tactile inks and varnishes to give a sense of coolness once in the hand.
The creation of the Bartender’s Malt kicked off with a global competition to recruit the 12 best bartenders from around the world. Once selected, the team were brought to Glasgow where they collaboratively blended a unique whisky and attended a packaging workshop led by Studio Minerva to collectively design the look and feel of the bottle and carton. A true co-creation this was the first in an annual series representing the best talent from all corners of the bartending world.
