HERE’S A THOUGHT

“Don’t take things too seriously”

18/03/16
This week our Creative Director Daniela Nunzi-Mihranian was asked by Design Week to share her views on their posed the question “What one skill should all aspiring designers have?”.

“We look for a sense of humour!

Don’t take things too seriously, be positive, be relaxed and learn to laugh at yourself. Smile and laugh more; even at the mad intensities around you.

Learn from your experiences and engage with people in a happy and passionate way in order to shine through.

And in the words of Dr. Seuss: ‘Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!’”

In an increasingly competitive industry, these words can be taken as reassurance for soon-to-be graduates – that no else can be you.
Looking for your first job as a junior is a stressful time, it is easy to get caught up in trying to be the perfect candidate and forget to enjoy what you are doing.
